Brief History:
After graduating from Malaspina’s (V.I.U) Hairdressing Program, I worked at a salon here in town for almost five years before deciding to open my own salon with my twin sister Jessie.

Inspiration :
Being surrounded by other creative people.

Favourite Product:
Bb. Surf Spray and Curl Defining Crème.

Best Thing About My Job:
Being able to take a stressed out person who hates their hair and have them leave the salon completely relaxed and loving their hair!

Something Random:
I decided to name the salon after a spaceship from the best TV show ever aired! Bonus points if you can name the show!

Brief History:
After graduating high school, I worked as a stained glass artist and a skating instructor before attending film school for production management. I then opened Serenity Hair Salon and Day Spa with my twin sister Megan!

The weather; rain or shine!

Something Random:
I can’t travel without everything pre-planned and organized.

Brief History:
Grew up in Nanaimo, traveled to LA, Mississipi, and South Africa after highschool with a organization called YWAM (Yough with a Mission). Spent 10 wonderful months in hair school at VIU and now work at an amazing salon with awesome people!

Something Random:
I fell off a horse 3 summers ago and broke both my wrists.

Brief History:
After graduating from Malaspina, I worked at The Cutting Room for 3 1/2 years and am excited to be working here at Serenity! I won the Avante Garde Stylist of the year at the Canadian Mirror Awards, 2009.

Inspiration :
Anything creative. I love doing photo shoots and playing around with long hair. I'm always inspired by people who take goals and achieve them! If you never challenge yourself, you never grow.

Favourite Product:

Best Thing About My Job:
Being able to share my creativity and passion for the industry with my clients! Nothing makes me happier than being able to make my clients look and feel confident when they leave.

Something Random:
I am almost six feet tall when I put heels on, so I avoid them as much as possible. The last time I wore heels, it was at my friends wedding and I ended up flat on my face in the middle of the dance floor! Lol!

Brief History:
Moved to Nanaimo when I was two and grew up here; I love the island. Went to Malaspina at 17 and completed the Hairdressing Course. I've enjoyed working at Serenity ever since.

Trying new things and learning as a team and as an individual.

Brief History:
started my hairdressing in Ontario. My passion quickly grew for the fashion industry and took me to Vancouver, where my career took off. Leading fashion shows, working long days on television sets and always working the fast pace of a ciry hairdresser. In 2007, we moved to Nanaimo to live a balanced lifestyle and it is here I found my home at Serenity Salon.

I'm also a certified professional dog trainer and teach group classes in the evenings.

Brief History:
I grew up in Nanaimo with Jessie and Megan. My passion is horseback riding, with a background in hunter/jumper and recently dressage. My husband and I were married by Elvis and reside on a small hobby farm.
